The short answer is the DT 770s are closed back headphones and the DT 990s are open back headphones. But I would want to buy an amp/dac for the DT 770 to really get good sound out of those headphones. So I need you guys's opinions on this. Option 1: The MMX 300 gen 2 without an amp/dac. Option 2: The DT 770 pro with a mic and an amp/dac. If, for starters, I would need an amp/dac to make option 1 sound good option 2 already sounds more logical.
